MEET OUR TEAM

My journey in dance began at the age of four when I discovered my love for acrobatics. That passion grew into a lifelong commitment, and I have been teaching acrobatics for over 30 years.

 

In 2017, I expanded my training by joining the world-renowned Acrobatic Arts program. Known for its emphasis on safe training techniques and skill progression, this curriculum has greatly enriched my teaching methodology. I am a certified Module 1 and Module 2 instructor and an active member of Acrobatic Arts, a distinction I am incredibly proud of.

 

To further refine my expertise, I completed four modules of an internationally acclaimed intensive flexibility series. This progressive and proven syllabus is designed to teach dancers how to improve their flexibility safely and effectively.

 

I am deeply passionate about educating dancers on the incredible potential of the human body when trained correctly. My goal is to instill in my students an understanding of the importance of body awareness and alignment. There is nothing more rewarding than watching them realize their potential as we fast-track their progress. The key lies in balancing flexibility techniques with strength training to provide the necessary support for their skills.

“I have been dancing for as long as I can remember. My love for dance began at age four with modern dance, and I was fortunate to start ballet at age nine and hip hop at 15.

 

Over the years, I have trained extensively in contemporary, lyrical, jazz, musical theatre, Broadway, and commercial hip hop. Competing internationally has been a highlight of my career, with trips to destinations such as Prague and Croatia, where I consistently earned podium placements, including numerous top-three finishes. I have also been honored with awards like Best Senior Soloist and special recognitions at various competitions. Additionally, several of my choreographed routines have won awards for Best Choreography.

 

I hold full teaching certification in modern dance through the Association of International Dance Teachers (AIDT) and have been passionately teaching at DU for eight years. Sharing my passion for performance and creativity with my students brings me immense joy, and I look forward to continuing to inspire and nurture the next generation of dancers.”

Megan is a former acrobatic student of Liezl who has transitioned into an exceptional teacher, significantly contributing to the growth of our acrobatic division.

 

“My passion for dance began at the age of three, with acrobatics as my primary focus. Over the years, I have trained in various styles, including ballet, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, hip hop, and musical theatre. I began competing at the age of 10 and have had the honor of representing my talent on international stages in various dance styles. I am proud to have achieved numerous top placements in both national and international competitions as an acrobatic dancer.

 

My teaching career began in 2018 as an assistant to Liezl, and I quickly progressed to become a qualified instructor. I am a certified Module 1 instructor with Acrobatic Arts and an active member of this prestigious organization.

 

I am excited to share my love for dance and acrobatics with my students and look forward to inspiring them to achieve their dreams.”

I began my dance career with Ballet classes at the age of five and believe that Ballet lay the foundation for the rest of my career and the many other styles I trained in such as Modern, Contemporary, Spanish, African, Hip Hop and Tap.

I am a qualified teacher in Cecchetti Ballet, AIDT Modern Dance and Module 1 Acrobatic Arts certified.

I strongly believe that Ballet training is essential for every dancer and that the technique gained from ballet classes will assist you in any other dance style.

It is never too late to start Ballet and I love sharing the beautiful technique with dancers of all ages and levels.
